A recent trip to South Africa on a Banjo Workshop with Ross Nickerson.
Bob learned the South African National Anthem and had the pleasure of playing
and singing along with this wonderful group of Native villagers.
Deering Banjos was Bob’s first banjo supplier and he has been a wonderful addition to our dealer base. Not only does Bob sell Deering banjos, he plays them as well. Of his Deering 30th Anniversary model he says, “It has the widest selection of banjo voices I’ve ever heard. From the bass to the high end, it delivers, and not in a punchy powerful way, but a tasteful and classy way.” Bob is proud to be a Deering Banjo Dealer.
Nestled among the pinion pines and clear mountain air in the Sandia Mountains and along the Turquoise Trail just outside of Alburquerque, NM, is premier dealer Robert Emmert’s store called Banjo Bob’s. The business is 6 years young but has already formed strong ties with the local bluegrass club and community at large. Bob hosts jams sessions most Saturdays and all levels and instruments are welcome. The wood paneled walls are filled with a wide variety of Deering banjos from the GDL through to the Goodtime line as well as a diverse collection of other banjos.
